Fallpipe Towers & Rock Chutes

The steel that places rock on the seabed from a vessel: a braced tower over the moonpool, flanged fallpipe sections, a section rack, a hopper and chute, and the pipe clamp. Fabricated to your drawings.

Built to your size

Tower height, pipe bore and section length follow your vessel.

We have not delivered this product yet. We are equipped to build it: a 30 m bay with 11.5 m under the hook, plate rolling to 40 mm and welding to EN ISO 3834-3. The model shows a typical arrangement.

Rock placed where it is needed

Rock protects cables, pipelines and foundations on the seabed. A fallpipe guides it down from the vessel so it lands in the right place. We fabricate the tower and the pipe; we do not install.

Tower frame

A braced tower over the moonpool carries the weight of the whole pipe string. Columns are end-milled and drilled so the lifts bolt up square.

Fallpipe sections

Sections are rolled from plate and flanged at both ends. They are added one by one until the pipe reaches the seabed.

Section rack

A rack on deck holds the sections between jobs, each in its own saddle.

Hopper and chute

Rock comes up a chute into a hopper at the top of the pipe. Both are plate, and both can be lined with wear plate.

Made to your drawing

Send the general arrangement or a sketch with sizes and loads. We detail it, fabricate it, trial-assemble it in our bay and pack it for sea. The model is a typical arrangement, not a delivered project.
